Save event

The annual Great Egg Race is on again at the University of Plymouth!

Based on the original TV series, teams of 2-6 compete in an engineering challenge to design and manufacture a device capable of transporting an egg, using household materials provided on the evening, within the allocated time.

Can you rise to the challenge of building impossible contraptions from household materials to win this year's race?

The Great Egg Race is a free event that:

  • is fantastic fun for all ages and abilities
  • is a great way for students to gain contacts for their future career
  • promotes science and engineering to the general public.

A buffet meal will be provided but pre-booking is essential as places are limited.

Please contact Robert Cooper ( for further information and to register your interest.
