The English Language Centre is offering an intensive course in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages TESOL.

This four-week, 120-hour course, provides you with the skills and knowledge you need to become a Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages and offers the opportunity to gain an entry-level qualification (TEFL-i status) into the English language teaching profession.

Through a combination of interactive seminars, tutorials and workshops, alongside ongoing opportunities to engage in teaching observation and practice, you will learn how to teach English to learners of different ages, levels and backgrounds in a range of different contexts. By the end of the course you will have developed the skills and confidence to plan and deliver different types of lessons using a variety of teaching techniques and materials.

  • Course dates: Monday 3 June – Friday 28 June 2019
  • Time and venue: 09:00-17:00 in Room 216, Babbage Building.
  • Course fees (University of Plymouth students and alumni): £750 
  • Course fees (external applicants): £1,250
