The Faculty of Health and Human Sciences is delighted to offer a study day specifically designed to equip healthcare assistants, nurses and other staff who are new to venepuncture with the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to effectively and safely take blood in a primary care setting.

  • Please note: You will need to secure the support of a mentor in your workplace in order to put your new skills into practice safely

This study day is held at the Exeter School of Nursing's WESC Foundation campus. The WESC campus has a bus stop directly outside the facility, perhaps a hundred yards from the Countess Wear roundabout. The nearest rail links are Topsham and Exeter St Thomas. Directions if travelling by car are available on the eStore page.

Please be aware that all courses run to minimum numbers. In the event that there are low numbers, this course may be rescheduled to an alternative date.
