A placement year is a great opportunity to gain real-world experience in your chosen area. While you’re putting your learning into practice, you’ll pick up a whole range of employability skills.

What’s in it for me?

A placement will...
  • Open the door to graduate opportunities. Employers regularly choose previous placement students for their graduate schemes and favour graduates with work experience over those who do not.
  • Contribute to your overall understanding of your degree.
  • Allow you to get a taste of your chosen career.
  • Give you the opportunity to earn a professional wage. You’ll earn between £13,000 and £20,000 depending on the role and location of your placement.
  • Offer up the opportunity to work internationally if you wish.
How can I find out more?
