Graduate Recruitment and Career Development Workshops

In semester 1, we offer all Final Stage Plymouth Business School students the opportunity to maximise your graduate recruitment opportunities by taking part in a day-long graduate development workshop. This dynamic and engaging workshop day is designed to kick-start your graduate applications whilst strengthening your self-awareness, adaptability and opportunity awareness.

These workshops mix theoretical, practical and interactive approaches to delivery to help you take control of your career development and feel inspired to be active in your approach to graduate employment. The sessions cover support for managing change, making yourself competitive in recruitment and undertaking research into graduate opportunities. With activity designed to help you reflect on your current skills to inform future goal setting, the aim of the career development workshops is for you to start your final year with an active approach to planning your future.

Themes explored in the workshops:

  • Opportunity awareness
  • Making yourself competitive in the graduate market
  • Thriving in times of change
  • Networking
  • Graduate career research toolkit
  • interviews and assessments in recruitment

The immersive workshops will offer you the opportunity to meet Careers staff and organisations from the university that offer you the opportunity to get involved with your skills development right from the start of your final year. The insight into graduate recruitment processes and the opportunities available to you locally and nationally will subsequently aid you to take some control over your future, generate more choices to explore future possibilities and grow in confidence towards the many directions in which your degree can take you.

In addition to this, we encourage you to get involved with a wide range of activity, events and workshops offered by your Careers and Employability Hub. You can find out full information about all the services on offer through our website, or dropping into the Careers Hub on the Ground Floor of the Roland Levinsky Building.
