To do research rigorously, ethically, and informed by public and patient experience, it is vital that the Brain Research & Imaging Centre (BRIC) and DDRC Healthcare maintain active links with the communities we work with.
To do this, we run events such as group visits and tours, talks by researchers, and work experience for students.
In December 2023, members of the Plymouth University of the Third Age (U3A) toured the Brain Imaging Research Centre and the DDRC Healthcare, viewing our laboratories and specialist equipment, and meeting some of the researchers. The group also visited the hyperbaric chambers and MRI scanner used for clinical purposes and research.
