New Event: Activating Your Research Pillar of Practice

Who is the event for?

This event is for nurses, midwives, allied health professions, and pharmacists working at the advanced and enhanced level of practice. You will be working in primary and community care, or in secondary or tertiary care services in the Somerset, Devon and Cornwall and Isles of Scilly areas.

What will I get from attending this event?

This event will showcase Advanced and Enhanced-level Practitioners who are embracing their research pillar of practice to support research delivery. It aims to help build confidence, knowing you have many of the skills needed to deliver research in practice, and help in navigating the research landscape to find opportunities to get involved in research delivery.
Sessions will include:
  • The South West Faculty for Advanced Practice
  • Reviewing the Multi-professional framework for advanced clinical practice
  • Writing for publication
  • The NIHR Principal Investigator Essentials training
 

Unsticking the research pillar in advanced practice

This was a networking and development event for advanced practice clinicians wanting to progress their research pillars. This event took place on 19 October 2023, at Yeovil Campus, University of Bournemouth. The hosts were Steve Blakeway and Dr Frazer Underwood.
