Biography

Biography

Joelle Booth is an academic Dental Public Health Registrar in the South West deanery and at the University of Plymouth. Her research interest focuses on engaging underrepresented groups in research with a particular focus on exploring the oral health of individuals impacted by the criminal justice system. Joelle’s research utilises a participatory action research approach to address complex oral health problems.   

Qualifications

Joelle graduated from the University of Exeter with a first class degree in Medical Science. She then graduated as a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours at Kings College London and became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England by examination. Joelle has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Education and a Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Research Skills and Methods at St Georges University London. 
She is currently undertaking a Masters’ degree in Public Health at the University of Exeter.
