Biography

Biography

Krishnendu is a research fellow in ORE hydrodynamics in the COAST Engineering Research Group, School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics.

She is currently working on the FlexWave project funded by EPSRC, which aims at using flexible responsive systems in wave energy. This will offer opportunities to reduce costs on the existing wave energy devices, paving the way for niche and grid scale applications. The hydrodynamic performance of different flexible wave energy converter designs will be assessed through numerical modelling and wave basin experiments. During her PhD research at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, she developed an integrated wave energy breakwater system suitable for regions with medium wave energy potential.
