International Tea Day – Tuesday 21 May
We are proud to offer a selection of delicious black and herbal teas across campus, featuring Fairtrade, organic and other ethical brands including those that are part of the Fair for Life, B Corp Certified, and Member of 1% for the Planet Fair Wild.
You can learn more about our efforts to achieve the Fairtrade University award by visiting our website.
British Sandwich Week – 22–28 May
Visit Loafers Deli to try our artisan sandwiches, such as the New York deli or onion bhaji and mango chutney, all handcrafted by our friendly team. If you prefer a premium range, you can find it at The Container Cafe. Our sandwich is also included in our picnic boxes.
National Coffee Day – Friday 24 May
Did you know that all coffee on campus is Fairtrade? We take pride in sourcing sustainable beans, including those from Owens Coffee, which roasts its coffee locally just 11.8 miles away from campus. We also source coffee beans from Matthew Algie, the UK's first carbon neutral roastery!
Bank Holiday – Monday 27 May
Please note that on all cafes will be closed.
National Burger Day – Tuesday 28 May
We are celebrating National Burger Day with a burger special at RLB Cafe (menu TBC).
National Biscuit Day – Wednesday 29 May
Have you tried our giant cookies from The Container Cafe? They're a firm favourite on campus, handmade by our Hospitality team.
World Milk Day – Saturday 1 June
We are proud to source fresh cow's milk from a local family-owned business, Trewithen Dairy. After visiting their dairy and one of their nearby farms (all cow farms are located within 25 miles of Trewithen Dairy), we were delighted to see a friendly team who really put the cows first while also considering the environment in their practices.
National Egg Day – Monday 3 June
We also had the pleasure of meeting Country Lane Eggs, our local egg supplier who prioritises the wellbeing of hens and staff. They source our free range eggs that are fully traceable to local farms and have recently launched their 'Birds and Bees' project.
National Cheese Day – Tuesday 4 June
It's a brie-liant time on campus with our delicious cheese options, including:
• Prosciutto, mozzarella and pesto sandwich from Loafers Deli
• Margherita pizzas or garlic cheesy bread from Portland's Pizzeria
• Cheese toppings on salads and jacket potatoes
• Vegan dream toastie from The Toast Office
• Brie and caramelised onion wrap from the Reservoir Cafe.
National Fish and Chips Day – Thursday 6 June
Did you know that Drake's Kitchen sells fish and chips daily? Head over for our delicious catch of the day, sourced locally from nearby Brixham or Plymouth harbours.
National Doughnut Day – Friday 7 June
Enjoy a sweet treat on campus and choose a delicious doughnut from the Library Cafe. We also have beloved iced fingers in Drake's Kitchen , Babbage Bytes Cafe and The Toast Office.

• Falafel salad toppings in The Toast Office (coming soon in Drake’s Kitchen).
Healthy Eating Week – 10–14 June
Enjoy fresh and healthy food when dining on campus. Whether you're after a salad pot or a wholesome home cooked meal, see our cafe pages for more information on our menus.
National Eat Your Vegetables Day – Monday 17 June

Enjoy all of our campus food to take away! Whether you'd like to enjoy our four item Picnic Box from The Container Cafe or head to Loafers Deli for one of our artisan sandwiches, the choice is yours. Our new favourite spot is on the Babbage Terrace, just one floor up from Babbage Bytes Cafe!
National Smoothie Day – Friday 21 June
Refresh with a fruity smoothie from the Reservoir Cafe and enjoy the first day of summer!
National Cream Tea Day – Friday 28 June
Head to The Container Cafe for a delicious cream tea – the real question is, do you spread it the Devon or Cornish way? We source delicious Cornish clotted cream, but the scones are made right here in Devon, on campus by our Hospitality team.
