Developing creative research practices is invaluable if we wish to foster innovation and push the boundaries of knowledge.
In embracing creative approaches we explore new perspectives, challenge existing assumptions and uncover novel insights. Being willing to question established ways of doing research, embrace uncertainty and seek alternative explanations involves curiosity, open-mindedness and collaboration to explore new and different ways of doing and knowing. Acknowledging, and celebrating, the ‘self’ in creative research practices is essential and recognising our own positionality contributes to research that is both original and authentic.
