The Adventures in Posthumanism research group is delighted to invite University of Plymouth students and staff to attend this in-person doctoral event.
Participants from other universities will be able to view this event online.

PROGRAMME 

10:00–12:20 | MORNING SESSION: Being a posthuman doctoral student
The morning will be set aside for doctoral student presentations which may include some intra-active elements. 
12:30–13:50 | Lunch
14:00– 16:30 | AFTERNOON SESSION: Where next for postuman postdoctural students?
We are delighted to welcome our international panel to discuss this question. Panel members are: Professor Erin Manning, Concordia University, Montreal, Canada • Dr Asilia Franklin-Phipps, New York University, USA • Professor Carol Taylor, University of Bath, England • Professor Jayne Osgood, University of Middlesex, England • Professor EJ Renold, University of Cardiff, Wales • Professor Gabrielle Ivinson, Manchester Metropolitan University, England.
During the afternoon session postdoctural students will engage participants with an aspect of their work as they think about moving on as postdoctoral researchers, and trying to preserve and extend their posthuman decolonising practices developed during their PhD.

Adventures in Posthumanism is a well-established transdisciplinary group run by Plymouth Institute of Education and coordinated by Dr Joanna Haynes and Professor Jocey Quinn. The aim of the group is to share and develop ideas, research and work inspired by posthuman thinking. It runs annual programmes of seminars/webinars, workshops, reading groups and doctoral conferences. Members are academics and doctoral students from across the University of Plymouth and other universities nationally and internationally. All are welcome to take part.
