The University of Plymouth has been ranked fifth in the UK for its work experience opportunities by national platform, Rate My Placement.
The University featured in the platform’s 'Best 50 Universities for Work Experience' category, and is also the highest ranked institution in the South West Peninsula.
The awards are based on student feedback related to opportunities such as optional placement years and internships, with the University needing to reach a response threshold before even being eligible to feature in the list.

This was the first time we entered the 'Best 50 Universities for Work Experience' awards, run by Rate My Placement. Whilst confident that we’d make the 50, we were blown away to be placed fifth overall.

Students go on quite a personal journey through gaining hands-on work experience and this really benefits them when entering the graduate jobs market.
In a number of cases, students will gain further employment with the same company.
As the awards are based on student reviews that makes this particularly special and is testament to all the hard work that goes on in the background to make the various work experience opportunities actually happen.
