Acknowledging exceptional sustainability projects or dissertations carried out by undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University of Plymouth.
Student sustainability research prize 2017
Now in its third year, the Student Sustainability Research Prize, awarded by the Sustainable Earth Institute, celebrates the exceptional research underway by students, looking at creating a better future. It is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students undertaking a final year project or dissertation.

Student sustainability research prize 2016
University of Plymouth's reputation for sustainability continues to grow and we are recognised as international leaders in the sector, taking an award winning approach to working collaboratively across campus operations, research, and teaching and learning.
The student research prize, now in its second year, celebrates the inspirational sustainability projects being conducted by students, and recognises the talent they have for creating a better future.
Student sustainability research prize 2015
In 2015, we launched our student sustainability research prize to celebrate the breadth and standard of undergraduate sustainability research at University of Plymouth.
Winners included students from 3D design, geography, environmental science, fine art, public management and business, marketing, psychology, adult nursing and dietetics.
Visions of Sustainability
In 2015 we launched the Visions of Sustainability photography competition to highlight six key themes of research: health and well-being, sustainable societies, sustainable transport, climate action and resource efficiency, sustainable energy and sustainable food, agriculture and water.
The judges decided unanimously on the winner, Dave Gilvear, for his picture 'Salmon Fishing for the Future' which was entered into the sustainable food, agriculture and water category.
