“There is one key piece of advice which I would give to all students, and that it is to make sure you network.”
Tell us about your career path since graduation.
After graduating I founded my own procurement and supply chain company, NWHZ services, which provides advice to organisations in the field of project management, interim assignments, and supply chain challenges. I have worked with a variety of companies such as Hodlmayr International, ECI Holding B.V., De Rooy, Mars, Johnson & Johnson, and Unilever.
What is the most difficult thing which you have faced in your career?
Running my own company, I’ve found that the most difficult aspect is finding companies that want to hire a freelancer.
What is the best, most exciting or fun thing that you have done in your career?
I have worked and lived in many different European countries such as the Netherlands, Austria, the Czech Republic, Belgium, and Poland.
What, if anything, would you do differently if you could?
I wouldn’t do anything different because you need to learn to work flexibility and all the experiences which I have had has led me to where I am today: the pay is far above average.
What advice would you give to anyone wanting to get in to the same line of work?
There is one key piece of advice which I would give to all students, and that it is to make sure you network. It is the most important thing you can do.
